The new Pano (Panoramic) intelligent mode found on most DJI drones. It is powerful imaging feature, and really can’t be any easier. The whole process is automated, from capturing all the necessary images to the stitching. You simply sit back and wait a minute or so. And what really makes the process that much more spectacular is that the AI takes care of lighting, white balance, angle and position. All you have to do is point and shoot.
There are 4 panoramic modes’ 360 degree (34 images), 180 degrees (21 images) , Vertical (3 images) and Horizontal (9 images – 3×3 ). Example shown below. The modes may vary on individual devices as on my Osmo Mobile device there is no 360.
How to Use
To access Pano Mode, select the Settings icon in Camera Mode, select Shot and at the bottom you will see Pano. Click then select the Pano mode you want. if you haven’t already centered your shot, do so and then and press the shutter to start.
The Drone will then capture the series of shots necessary. You will see the count/total indicator and will be notified once complete.
Then, simply click the Gallery arrow in the corner and tap the Thumbnail to begin the Stitching Process.
Click the image to export to your local folder or gallery. There is an option to save or remove the series of shots once completed.
