If there is one thing you don’t want to do, is ‘knowingly’, fly over people.
Other than being a licensed pilot, and have special permission from the FAA,
DON’T DO IT
Now, we could spend hours going over the what ifs, and there are such things,
but that is where being licensed and understanding the rules is so important.
As for hobbyist or non commercial use, the exceptions are few and far between. Should you get caught, you won’t be singing when you see the fines that can be brought against you.
So, if you are being ‘cool’ and filming a wedding or even a family event and you are flying over people, you are breaking FAA regulations. So, if you post this great footage, be careful as you never know who might see it.
